Made for trips

The parts trips make awkward.

Split by Nights

Someone left a day early? Set the nights each person stayed and the cabin splits by night.

More than one payer

Two people split the deposit? Tick who paid and what each put in.

Let Everyone Claim

At a big dinner, share one code and everyone ticks their own items on the receipt.

Any currency

Pay in euros, keep the group in dollars. Splitz converts at that day’s rate.

Works offline

Add expenses with no signal. They sync when you’re back online.

Friends without the app

Add them by name. When they join, everything under their name becomes theirs.

Trip Pass

Pro for everyone, for the trip.

One person buys it and everyone in the group gets no ads in it, spending charts, a Trip Recap, and email receipts for 7 or 30 days. Turn on Split the Cost and the price goes into the group as an expense.

  • $2.99 for 7 days or $5.99 for 30 days in the US. One-time, it doesn’t renew.
  • Doesn’t count toward Free’s 3 groups.

Questions

Asked before the first expense.

Does everyone need the app?

No. Add anyone by name and Splitz keeps their balance. When they join with the group’s invite link, everything under their name becomes theirs. Until then, you record what they pay you.

How do we split a rental when people stayed different nights?

Use Split by Nights, under Shares. Set the check-in and check-out days and the nights each person stayed, and the cost splits by night.

Can we add expenses in another currency?

Yes. Each group has a currency, and an expense can be in a different one. Splitz converts it at that day’s rate and shows the rate on the expense.

Does Splitz send the money?

No. Settle Up opens Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal with the amount filled in, and the payment happens in that app. You can also record cash, Zelle, or Apple Cash.

What happens to the group after the trip?

Archive it. Archived groups stay readable for everyone, can be unarchived anytime, and don’t count toward Free’s 3 groups.
